Normal distal esophagus
Fine pink striations are normal to distal esophagus.



Hiatus Hernia
Endoscopically diagnosed bywideseparation between GE Jn and Diaphragmatic Pinch cock of 3cms or more.


Chromoendoscopy
Spraying of distal esophagus with Lugol's iodione showing ectopic gastric mucosa which has not taken the brown colour of iodine.

This 45 year old patient who came with complaints of RS burn and regurgitation.
Endoscopy revealed large Hiatus with prolapse of the Fundic part of stomach into the esophagus


Fingers and islands of reddish mucosa in esophagus represent ectopic gastic mucosa in Reflux Esophagitis.
